Where does eczema come from ?

The Atopic terrain is a very specific immunological problem. We know that 25% of children born today possess this atopic terrain. This is a predisposition to produce anti-bodies against certain environmental proteins and to produce too many of these antibodies. This produces symptoms on different organs: if it’s the bronchi then we can have asthma, if it’s in the nose we can have hay fever, or conjunctivitis. If the symptoms appear on the skin then it’s called Atopic Dermatitis or eczema.
