Can i keep my cat if my child has eczema ?
If your child has eczema but does not have any reaction to contact with a cat such as allergies, eczema, asthma or a runny nose, then you can of course keep your cat. However, if your child has had a positive allergy scratch test for cats, and if you notice that, after being in contact with a cat, he has either an asthmatic or eczema reaction or sneezes or has conjunctivitis, then he shouldn’t be in contact with this animal.
